What changed
GitHub is deprecating all GitHub Classroom REST API endpoints, with removal scheduled for August 28, 2026. All classroom endpoints now include deprecation metadata (deprecated: true, deprecationDate, removalDate) and warning notices in their descriptions. Endpoints are still functional but clients should migrate before the sunset date. Additionally, new secret scanning custom pattern endpoints and parameters have been added.
